Need some advice on DA:O

Well after much debate i finally got this game for the 360, and i'm refusing to play it on any other difficulty but nightmare. I wanted to play tactical and with all thecritisim about the console versions being too easy i will not play on any other mode. With that said i am getting creamed. I'm at the part in the game in where to travel from point A to point B that traps will spring up randomly while traveling on the map. So far there are simply too many people to kill. My tank will not keep aggro very long and for that matter he doesn't keep up with everyone. I have my mage set on healer and defensive, my tank on aggressive with taunt and the other agro talent. I have the other warrior who is a grey warden play cautious and is set to protect the mage when she is attacked. My main character is a rouge and i just go around trying to get kills from the back. So any suggestions on how i should modify my tactics? Also, is there any place to grind up in skill cause after the side quest are complete? If not then it must just m3an i need to set on how i fight. I do all cycle through my players trying to focus attacks on one enemy at a time, thanks for the advice!With all that said, did the people who reviewed the game play it on nightmare when they said this game felt more like a action game rather than an RPG, cause i feel the difficulty is just right on nightmare unless it starts getting stupid easy after i get all my guys up to the right level, which i hope is not the case.Need some advice on DA:O
How about playing on your level wich isn't nightmare it seems.So that's my suggestion for you take it anyway you want.Need some advice on DA:O

like i said i want to learn how to play tactical. Yeah i may need some advice or whatever but its more challenging that way. I have gotten past a lot of stuff already but am just stuck and need to work through it whcih will cause me to learn more about how to play the game in depth. Lowering the difficulty will just make the game like a crappy action game. For me in RPG tactics and story are equally important. thanks though for stating the obious on what i said from begining i wasnt going to do lol.

thanks for trying though, i'm really not in a rush to get through this game, i have fun refining my follwers A.I. and trying new things to get by. I have been stuck inseveral spots already and manage to get past them. But now its a little different when i'm getting overrun by so many enemis. There are still a lot of things i can try and im sure ill make it even without advise, i was just looking for some fresh ideas, so far im likeing the challenge so im not complaining.
The mage has a lot of powerful attacks that you can use instead of just being a supporter. Do you always have fire weapons/frost weapons on?
i have had her on other settings but just ATM thats what she was set on. However, i didnt think about the fire/frost weapons being on, thats something ill change right away thanks.
