1) I don't remember getting any with the free month 2) Saves wear n tear on Disc Drive and does not get as hot because Disc Drive is not running.

3)Yes 4) They are in game challenges that unlock after completing the criteria. They are pretty much for showing off. I myself am a complete achievement WHOREA few xbox 360 questions....
1) No idea, I wasn't aware they gave out free MS points.

2)The console runs darn near silent with games installed. Try playing a game without installing, then install it, and you will be very happy you did.

3)Yes of course, no ripping off blockbuster.

4)Achievements are just recognitions for accomplishing specific tasks in each game set by the developers. It adds some replay value to the games. They can be used to gloat to other gamers but are otherwise completely worthless. Think about which xbox to get as well. If you're going to be getting the elite for $300, take the special edition MW2 console into consideration for $400. It comes with MW2, 2 black controllers, and a 250 gb hard drive.
you dont get free MS points with any membership...infact i dont think MS points are given for free at all, except i think in 1vs100
1. No

2. The console runs more quietly, and load times are quicker

3. Yes

4. Achievements are just accomplishments you reach in a game. There's a score for each achievement, based on it's difficulty, that is added to your overall gamerscore
