There has only been one game that has compelled me to suffer through accomplishing every achievement:Assassin's Creed.Mass Effect was close, simply because... well, it is but one of Bioware's brain-children... Nevertheless, I grew tired of trying to garner unlockables after the fourth playthrough, though I did manage to unlock 65 or 70% of the trophies. Every other game I've played just hasn't held my interest long enough to replay it a dozen times to unlock every point-pic in order to boast 100% achievement completion, including the Orange Box, which I very much admire. Did I want to replay Half-Life 2's various chapters over and over again to find every mothereffin' Lambda Cache? HA! I imagine some of you are much more diligent gamers than I shall ever be.So am I a lazy gamer?Oh, yes... to a degree.Yet I feel obligated for some strange reason to hunt down every flag and Templar in Assassin's Creed before I play AC2, which I purchased yesterday. Am I cheating a little bit by utilizing online map guides for all flag and templar locations?Yup.Is this tedious process completely contradictory to my lack of discipline in completing every other game I own, as far as achievements are concerned?Ass, yup! Then why? Why must I transgress to a masochistic state in order to fulfill something that has no meaning in this life whatsoever? I will probably never know. It is part of my id that is inexplicable, unquenchable, and utterly marvelous. I also believe my dedication has something to do with AC's story. Assassin's Creed is full of shortcoming's, but it also possesses, from my vantage, a lot of potential, not mention charm and a wonderful way of piquing my interest. (Yes, yes. It is also graphically a beautiful game.)I guess my point is this: the only game in which I've ever obtained 100% achievement completion is Fight Night Round 3, simply because it is THE easiest game that I have ever played to achieve 1000 out of 1000 points.10 achievements @ 100 points a piece.Assassin's Creed is also easy, if you can dedicate the time to collect all the collectibles, which I am in the process of doing. A lot of achievements are actually HARD to achieve, and so I confess. The topic title is bait to lure you in here and respond. MUAH!So... Is my masochism the result of my sloth? Hmmm... That's something on which I shall have to ponder.Anyways, what game has compelled you to obtain 100% of its achievements? (And in what game was it easiest for you to do so?)The Ease of the Achievement... Let Me Co ...

I try to get at least half the achievement points for a game. That's just me.
Ya know... yeah. I prolly shoulda blogged this bulls***. Sorry. LOL
nope. it may just be the beginning of an obsession though. it started out similarly for me.
Just to let you know, the flag collection achievements in Assassin's Creed were ''supposed'' to be a joke. I guess the developers were poking fun at all the other games that have random collection items so they put in a ton of flags to collect (which in my opinion ruins the whole point of the ''joke'' since it makes them just as bad..). Either way they were meant to be a pain in the backside. You're not cheating by using a map.
And you definitely don't need those achievements to feel ''accomplished'' in that game before you move on to AC2. I got every achievement aside from the collection ones.
