Assassins Creed 2... pulling my hair out ...

**SPOILER**













Possible spoiler alert here. I'm at the part where they pull you back out of the animus for the first time, and you have the hallucination where you're Altair. I've gotten to the part where I chase the target into the tower... and I'm quite obviously supposed to climb said tower. The problem is, Altair refuses to jump on the wood post with the lamp hanging off of it. It glows blue in eagle vision like free-runnable things do.



What the heck am I supposed to do? I've been sitting here for 15 minutes hopping back and forth between the damn ledges trying to make him jump on it.Assassins Creed 2... pulling my hair out ...
Yeah. Figured it out after about 30 minutes.



For those stuck:



Run up the wall NEXT to it and jump over at the top of your jump. Why Altair can't just climb from the top of the door I'll never figure out.Assassins Creed 2... pulling my hair out ...
I know exactly what you are talking about. I had a major problem with that tower in the first game, and I had a problem in the rehash too! So annoying.
I spent about 45 minutes on this then finally got it I don't remember how ;) but in a massive game like this it is bound to have a Bug or 2, hopefully just 1

its more of a positioning thing, than a ''bug'' sides the way i did it, dunno if it actually works, is get on the ledge of the balcony, get to either the left or right corner of the ledge, and jump for it, it worked for me
That took me awhile to figure out too, You have to run up the wall and jump from the wall on to it.
LOL. I was on that same part last night and was ready to go crazy. It took me a good 25 min and 3 deaths to finally get it. I thought it was a bug too, but its just a weird way to jump.I don't know why they made that so difficult. Other than that this is in my top 3 favorite 360 games along with Mass Effect and The Darkness.

I figured it out after about 2 minutes.....lol

It's a little misleading. I picked up on it pretty quick as well but only because I had been hunting feathers prior and had to do the same move to get to some of the higher points.
I guess I'm just good at thinking ''outside the box'' because I tried to go right up it one time, then, when that didn't work, I ran up the side and jumped to the right and got right on it. Glad it didn't take me too long or I would have been pulling my hair out too!
