Hello everyone, I'm new to the Gamespot forums and I hope to get some advice and help from the members of this forum on a problem I have. I've had my Xbox 360 since November 2007, and until recently, my wireless Xbox 360 controller has been turning off randomly. I've checked the batteries and that's not the problem. When I play Games like Gears Of War or the Bad Company Demo, it turns off and I have to turn it back on. I tried taping it down because it seems as if the battery case is kind of loose, yet that doesn't solve the problem. When I'm not playing on Xbox Live, I've actually shaked the controller vigoriously to see if it would turn off and nothing happens. Please any help is appreciated, I'm even considering opening the controller to check it out, but I don't want to mess with that until I get some advice from the forum members. I sit about 2-3 feet away from it. The problem has been occurring recently, I don't know anything about signal disrupting the controller. But my brother's controller works perfectly when we play together, mines is the only one turning off every time. I keep my cool most of the time, but it's really pissing me off that I lose matches because of a faulty controller. Is there a way to get a new controller either than buying it or getting this one fixed?Problem with my Xbox 360 Controller.

You should probably get a new controller. Some advice:don't bump using only the word bump. You'll get moded.
try NOT TO TOUCH the battery case while you play.mine works perfectly when I'M playing, when anyone else plays, it turns off a lot.everyone seems to hold the controller pressing the battery case.
i have the same problem with my Xbox 360 wireless controller. it turns of randomly in the middle of cod4 live. i wondered if it was the wireless network adapter interference. ill try changing the channel on my router then if it doesn't sort it ill need help.
If it keeps on doing it just get a new controller. Mine occasionally does it too.
You should probably get a new controller. Some advice:don't bump using only the word bump. You'll get moded.
What a stupid thing to get modded over. People on the internet are getting annoying with the little made-up rules. There is no law in AMERICA that states...''No person shall bump by using ''bump'' in an online forum.Bump any way you want to man, some folks just post crap on here to look badass when they're really not. Makes them feel better about themselves. Really, why take the time to type that out instead of just ignoring it? It really isn't a big deal.
